Founded in 2008, Speakeasy Original was born from a desire to create without limits.

After years of designing and pushing boundaries at Oakley, founder Jonathan “Chachi” Clingenpeel wanted an outlet to bring his own ideas to life. Inspired by Southern California’s motorcycle culture, hot rods, craftsmanship, and the rebellious spirit of custom design, Speakeasy became a place where those influences could come together.

What started as a creative escape evolved into a passion for designing and making distinctive jewelry. Combining traditional metal casting techniques with modern 3D design and manufacturing technology, every piece reflects a commitment to craftsmanship, individuality, and attention to detail.

Nearly two decades later, Speakeasy Original continues to evolve, staying true to the same philosophy that started it all: create what you believe in, never stop learning, and never settle for ordinary.
